Healthcare private equity
Know what the AI can do beyond the demo.
I help deal teams examine clinical-workflow fit, product evidence, AI claims, and implementation risk. After close, I turn those findings into a plan the operating team can use.

- 02Product evidence

Where I engage
The deal, the board table, the operating floor.
Pressure-test the claim
Separate a live capability from a roadmap promise. Examine data access, customer evidence, human work, and the team's ability to deliver.
Find the automation upside
Identify repeated manual work across the portfolio, the baseline needed to measure it, and the practical order of operations.
Give the plan owners
Scope and sequence the product work the investment case assumed. The company's team or vendors build; execution leadership can be scoped separately.
In production
Agentic AI, live at Duke.
As Trase's Director of Product, Healthcare, I led product for the fax-routing agent now live at Duke Cardiology. I evaluate products against what it takes to run in production, not what fits on a slide.
Baseline study: "Agentic Artificial Intelligence as a Catalyst for Administrative Modernization: The Beginning of the End for Traditional Fax Workflows in Healthcare," a preprint I co-authored (medRxiv, 2026). It measured the manual fax-routing workload at Duke Cardiology before automation.
Deployment: Trase's June 2026 write-up describes turning the fax-routing agent on at Duke Cardiology.
What the investment team receives
Defined outputs, timed to the decision.
| Engagement | Output | Target timing |
|---|---|---|
| Rapid deal screen | Proceed / investigate / stop memo, management questions, and one readout. | 5 business days |
| Full product, clinical & AI diligence | Investment-committee memo and readout, built from up to eight interviews and the agreed data-room materials, covering product, customer evidence, AI differentiation, interoperability, and regulatory and operating risk. | 2 to 3 weeks |
| 100-day value-creation sprint | Product and AI priority reset, KPI baseline, 100-day roadmap with owners and measures, and executive or board readout. | 6 to 8 weeks |
Timelines are targets that start once I have complete access to the materials and the people. Scope and specialist reviews are set in a written engagement.
Unless we add qualified specialists, this isn't a code or security review, a legal or regulatory opinion, a reimbursement analysis, accounting diligence, or an investment recommendation. It also doesn't include patient-specific medical decisions or physician sign-off.
